While visiting the Children’s Room at the West Hempstead Public Library please remember to look over our “Parent Shelf” collection. We have a comprehensive & current collection on many topics of interest for parenting children ages zero through grade 5.
In addition to the books and our expanding collection of e-books through Libby & Hoopla, we have magazines which circulate & pediatric health publications where you can find up to date information on many interesting topics in the news. We have parenting DVDs & a bulletin board filled with community information for you & your child.
We also offer you the opportunity to visit museums for free by borrowing our Museum Family passes or winning tickets in our Museum Lottery program.
